Drag Kings Portland is a drag performance troupe from Portland, Oregon. DK PDX performances shatter gender perceptions using sex appeal and synchronized dance. As queer artists we promote independent alternatives to mainstream corporate culture and encourage you to do the same.
The DK PDX troupe members have a variety of gender identities and perform a variety of masculinities and femininities. DK PDX is committed to feminist politics and addresses issues of sexism, racism, classism, size-ism, homophobia and transphobia on and off the stage. We promote empowering roles for queens (they're not just props for king acts.) Our acts must not only be consensual between performers, but explicitly show consent.
