Chicks with dicks call it quits
After 2-1/2 years of genderf*cking the hearts and minds of Portlanders, DK PDX has decided to move on. Portland's premiere drag troupe is calling it quits in order to seek new queer performance frontiers.
Ali Cotterill (aka Tommy Torpedo) founder of DK PDX says, "I feel so lucky to have worked with an amazing, eclectic group of artists for this long. I'm so proud of all that DK PDX has accomplished. I'm excited about all the new collaborations that will come out of this decision."
DK PDX's core members have performed their extravaganzas at dozens of venues throughout Portland as well as in 4 states and 2 Canadian provinces for thousands of adoring fans.

Creating more than 150 original acts and collaborating with well over 50 performers, DK PDX has been a prolific drag force. The troupe has always existed to spread the DIY roots of drag performance and make the stage accessible the community. The departure of DK PDX paves the way for new performance projects in the future. Troupe members will still be seen around Portland pursuing amazing feats of gender f*ck.
DK PDX has lent their talents to several community organizations including SMYRC, Basic Rights Oregon and In Other Words bookstore, raising money through benefit shows and leading Drag 101 workshops. The group deeply appreciates the opportunity to have worked with so many people that have given back: from the volunteers to the venues, from the fans to the one night stands.
With a heavy heart and running mascara, they are preparing to blow you away one final time as a group at "DK PDX: The Final Frontier" on Saturday, February 18th at their longtime venue Holocene.
